Sarah Smyth McIntosh
is licensed to practice law in Washington and Oregon. In 1986 she established the firm that has evolved into Smyth McIntosh in Olympia, Washington, and its branch office, Law Manzanita, in Manzanita, Oregon.
Practice Emphasis. The firm’s practice emphasis is on real estate, land use, banking, corporate, business, and environmental and natural resource law.
Business Experience. Sarah also has extensive business experience, as a leading developer of industrial waterfront properties into mixed use projects in the historic West Bay area of Olympia. Having seen both sides – borrower from a regional bank, legal counsel for a community bank – Sarah is particularly skilled at understanding and meeting the banking, property and related needs of her clients. Sarah has represented a variety of Washington businesses in the Puget Sound area, including two major forest products industries, Delson Lumber and Hardel Mutual Plywood Corporation.
Real Estate Development Experience. The firm also has been active in the development of every major land use plan and regulation that affects urban waterfront revitalization in Olympia’s Budd Inlet.
Oregon Branch Office. In Oregon, Sarah provides counsel to members of the business and real estate community in Manzanita and North Tillamook County, in addition to addressing the estate planning needs for those who have retired to the area.
