Sarah Smyth McIntosh has represented a variety of Washington businesses in the Puget Sound area, including two major forest products companies, Delson Lumber and Hardel Mutual Plywood Corporation. She has served as General Counsel for Delson Lumber, and for South Sound Bank. She has also been active in the development of major land use plan and regulation that affects urban waterfront revitalization in Olympia’s Budd Inlet. Sarah has been active in Olympia community organizations, such as the American Red Cross chapter’s board of directors, the local YWCA board, and the Olympia Chamber of Commerce board. She has served on the Washington State Bar Association International Law Section Board and was among a group of freeholders elected in 1989 to draft a city-county charter.

 

Oregon Branch Office:  In Oregon, Sarah provides counsel to members of the business and real estate community in Manzanita and North Tillamook County, in addition to addressing the estate planning needs for those who have retired to the area. Sarah is also General Counsel for the Neahkahnie Water District.

 

Development Experience:  In addition to heading the law practice she founded in 1986, Sarah is also the owner and developer of Smyth Landing, a 54,000-square foot, mixed-use office-condominium complex in Olympia, Washington that exemplifies the future of Olympia’s West Bay area. Through the development of the West Bay subarea plan, urban waterfront plan, and shoreline management plan, shoreline enhancement and public access to the waterfront will be emphasized through mixed-use developments that incorporate parks and trails for the community.

Ms. Smyth McIntosh has developed many relationships over the past 30+years with regional law firms in Seattle and Portland that allows her to assist almost any size client based on their particular needs. Sarah has worked with large Seattle and Portland-based law firms as out of house counsel for Delson Lumber, her family business, and in her capacity as General Counsel for a local community bank as well as co-counsel on a number of other larger cases for other clients of her law firm in Olympia and through her branch office in Manzanita, Oregon.
